AKC Submissions

Congrats once again to our graduates! This page is just for you. We have assembled a set of instructions for submitting titles for members who have earned any of the AKC Family Dog program certificates and titles through our training program.

We are so proud of the 19 dogs and handlers that passed their CGC evaluations and earned their titles. We are also so happy for the 10 teams that also completed their Novice Trick dog titles.

Submitting your CGC Titles

There are three levels of the CGC evaluations and title track (CGC, CGCA, and CGCU) all three can be submitted as follows.

  • Get Evaluated!
    • Complete a Class or a Drop in evaluation with an AKC Evaluator
  • Pass your Evaluation and completed your form
    • Your evaluator will assist you in completing the form but you need to make sure you have your AKC, PAL, or Canine Partner number and payment information completed.
      • Per the AKC thee submission fee is currently $20 for the CGC submissions
  • Choose how you want to submit
    • Snail Mail: Mail your form into the AKC per the directions on your evaluation form.
    • Digital: Currently you can email your completed form to cgcinfo@akc.org
  • Wait for your title to arrive!
    • It typically takes 4-8 weeks for titles to be processed on average. But don’t worry! You can start on any additional titles and file them too. You don’t need to receive your title in order for a new one to be processed.
Submitting your Trick Titles

There are five levels of the trick dog program (TKN, TKI, TKA, TKP, and TKE) all five can be submitted as follows.

  • Get Evaluated!
    • Complete a Class, a Drop in evaluation, or submit your videos with an AKC Evaluator
    • Don’t forget to submit your $15 evaluation to the NOLA Dog Sports Club Paypal.
  • Pass your Evaluation and completed your form
    • Your evaluator will assist you in completing the form but you need to make sure you have your AKC, PAL, or Canine Partner number and the certificate issue date for your registration.
      • Per the AKC thee submission fee is currently $25 for the Trick submissions
  • Choose how you want to submit
    • Snail Mail: Mail your form into the AKC per the directions on the AKC Title submission form.
    • Email: You can email your completed form and evaluation to trickdog@akc.org
    • Portal: You can use the AKC Trick portal.
      • If you are log into your AKC account it will auto-populate your information. You will then be asked to provide the eval. date, evaluator number, and upload your form into the portal. You will then be asked if you would like any additional products and to provide payment info. 
  • Wait for your title to arrive!
    • It typically takes 4-8 weeks for titles to be processed on average. But don’t worry! You can start on any additional titles and file them too. You don’t need to receive your title in order for a new one to be processed.
    • If you used the portal to submit you can track the progress of your submission through the portal at any time.
